Propeller Advice

Randy,

I just bought a 1993 Cajun with a Johnson 200 GT on it and it had a four blade 13 1/4 X 25p prop.  This works good for just a couple of people in the boat and not a full tank.  What would be a good prop for skiing and tubing?  This one doesn't get me up on plane fast enough.  Another question, is it beneficial to add a hydrofoil stabilizer if I have power trim/tilt?  Would it help me get on plane faster or harm the lower unit by bolting this on?

Thank you,
Ron

Ron,

I need to know the RPM and top end of your old 25 pitch shooter. You might try a small tube 22 or 24 pitch Hi-five. The Hydrofoil is going to help get the boat up faster. Bass boats are generally heavy in the tail, so it would be beneficial.
