Porting it to 115 Spec?

I came across this:

"If it is one of the old crossflow 90' V-4's, you could port it to 115 spec. and see a decent gain in performance. "

Can you elaborate on this please?  Does that mean I can turn my old crossflow 90 into a 115 or something close?

Thanks for all the excellent info!

Yes a 90 block can be ported to 115 spec. It is quite the project though. Not something for the backyard mechanic as the port layout has to be exact. One slip and your block is a nice flower planter.
