Evinrude Ocean Pro Problems
I have a 1993 Evinrude ocean pro 150 that will start and run great for about 20 minutes then it just dies without any hesitation or warning. The motor will not start right away but let it sit 5 minutes and it fires up...will run about 1500 rpms no sweat but run it up to 2000 or higher and it will run 5 minutes more and die...when it dies it is just like pulling the kill switch lanyard...it does not cough or hesitate it just dies...it always starts and runs great first thing in the morning and it idles great without problem. Typically I am pulling my kids on a kneeboard about 2500 rpms when it dies or I am leaving the ramp on a fishing trip and it runs 3000 rpms for about 5 to 10 minutes then it will die.....I just replaced the power pack and voltage regulator......I have spark at all cylinders after unplugging the port side power pack connector as instructed by my shop manual.....can my key switch///stop circuit be bad????? Help please...Jeff
