Skeg problem

hello i dont know who to send this to but i thought maybe one of you guys can help me. i have a 1976 hydrostream viper with a 85hp chrysler 1979. and my boat has really bad gravation when it grabs air when you turn sharp at all over 3000rpm i dont know alot about these boats if thats common or not, an done lst thing is that my skag on my motor is allmost gone there is only about 1/4 to 1/2 of a inch is some places, dose that have thing to do with any thing, because the boat turns hard, like i said before i dont know any thing about these boats really so it might be common, well thanks for your time and i hope one of you guys can help me

Dan, 

Have the skeg fixed to original spec. and have the prop done also. A good prop shop should be able to do both for you.
