Stratos needs Speed

Hello I have a 93 stratos 290S/F with an evinrude 200XP. It is a 20í fish ski combo and I am using a shooter prop 13.25 X 25P I have awesome lift and awesome to plane but Iím not going much faster then 66-68 according to my optima f/f and Iím running 5800 to 5900 rpm it seems like a perfect match I would just like to get up in the 70mph range a little more speed thatís all!!  How hard would that be?? Can you suggest a different prop maybe. I do not have a jack plate but I am all the way up on the transom with the bolts now.  I would be happy to give you more info on my setup if I knew what else you needed to know to make me go faster! ~ I know that speed isnít everything but the faster we go, the cooler we look and the longer we fish~ thank you sir. Any reply greatly appreciated

Chris,

You may try a set back plate of 6-8Ē as the S/F style boats run a ton of weight forward. The only way to go faster is to get the boat free from the water. A set back may help.
