V-King/Merc 200 Setup

Just purchased an 87' V-King with a 200 Merc and the current setup is as follows....Bob's LWP, Hot Foot, dual cable steering, and it's running a 26 Pitch Quicksilver Chopper. The first thing I plan on doing is installing solid motor mounts, but after that what else do you see this setup requires? Oh, by the way, the motor is mounted directly to the transom, no jackplate. I am hoping to get the boat into the mid-80's, but still be able to launch out of the hole pretty good and it should be able to handle a few passengers  (sometimes). Any input you could provide would be appreciated.

Put the mounts in and start in the 4th or 5th mount hole. If the motor is healthy and the prop is true, you'll be in the 80's already. Expect the RPM's to approach 7000 though. A 28" chopper would be the next thing to try.
