Buying a Viking

I'm looking at buying an '80 Viking with a Mercury 150 on it?  What should I look for besides the normal things, what is prone to failure on the Viking hulls?  The ad says new floor.  I'm going to take the motor to my mechanic to get it looked at.  Also, what kind of expectations can I have for this boat if I do a few mods to the motor.  Exhaust tuner, nosecone maybe... Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, Karl Nesse

At this point, I would look hard at the transom and the hull core. I would be very suspicious of this boat as the floor has already had problems.
