This is how Steve
Brennen of Ontario Canada found his '83 Valero. In
Steve's words: "Last year I
was searching for a windshield for my 16" Thundercraft. I
had mentioned it to my neighbor who also works for a local
hydro utility, and was doing work in a bucket truck when he
spied a windshield poking out of the grass in a large field.
When he got home that night, he told me to come for a ride and
we would see if we could find the owner and possibly buy the
windshield. When we got there I almost fainted when we pushed
the grass away and saw a 1983 Valero with a matching 200 merc
with a 28pitch cleaver(!) on a roller trailer! Needless to say
we went to the closest house and found out the story: it was
bought by the home owners son who had moved away and left it
in his field. We got his number and informed him his dad wants
the boat out of the yard, lol! Long story short, I now
have a 83 Valero that may have never had a second chance!"
